A Harry Potter Birthday with Moxxie!

The Wizardry collection from Moxxie is perfect for scrapping those Harry Potter themed pictures.  This layout is obviously from my son's birthday and it was a lot of fun!  Among other things, we had Wand Selection (an arts and crafts activity), Potions Class (making milkshakes with mix-ins!), and a Quidditch Match (a Snitch-shaped pinata that they broke with brooms!).

With Halloween just around the corner, I think it is perfect for little wizards and witches, too!

If you would like to see a super-easy tutorial on how to create the frame, check out my post over at the Moxxie blog - it should be up today or tomorrow.

My Darling Daughter

Here is a quick layout using Moxxie's Forever Family line.  The colors were perfect for these pictures of my darling daughter!
Everybody knows that banners are very "in" right now.  Moxxie makes it easy to add them to your projects by providing them to you on the coordinating Forever Family Diecut sheet.  You can also see that I used the two borders and the title card from the same set of die cuts.  I was very excited that I had the perfect piece of Want2Scrap *bling* in my stash for this layout!  I actually cut the rhinestone swirl into (2) pieces so I could place those swirls exactly where I wanted. Last step was to tuck a tag behind one of the photos for my hidden journaling.

Crop to Cure Diabetes - The Wrap Up!

I finally caught up with Nancy Forbach, the Grand Prize winner from my Crop to Cure Diabetes!  She was very happy to claim her prize!

A huge thank-you to Debbie Chabot, owner of Scrapbooks-Plus, for generously donating the crop room for the entire day.    She also contributed a discount coupon for the goody bags and some paper and embellishments for some of the day's projects.

I am also eternally grateful to my friends who volunteered their time and donated the materials for their amazing Make N' Takes:
Lisa Hausman gave us a chance to create an art journal type page!

Angela Nunley gave us a quick page to start us scrapping for the new school  year!
Karen Bearse  helped everyone to create their own unique mini-canvas!
Thank you so much to everybody who participated - it was such a fun group of ladies!  We had lots of excitement with our hourly door prize drawings. We also added some fun with an  impromptu Halloween page contest - the winner, Kate Sullivan!  Be sure to check our Facebook page for more pictures from the crop!

There were several people who were unable to attend the crop, and they very generously made donations to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation anyway. Thank you, thank you, thank you to each and every one of you!  We were able to raise over $1,500 for JDRF this year and we are definitely planning to host a crop again next year - hopefully bigger and better!

October Muse-A-Palooza!

Hi Everyone,

Are you ready for the October Moxxie Blog Hop?  Join us the first Friday of every month where we will feature a new collection.  This month is just way too much fun with the all new All Hallow's Eve collection.   I think you are going to fall in love with this collection. The collection is just perfect for all your Halloween projects!  The Moxxie Muses have some wonderful inspiration for you today!

Last year, in early September, I took my daughter to see the show Wicked.  It was so much fun! We made quite an event out of it - my daughter even dressed up to watch the show.  She got lots of comments from the cast and other theater-goers regarding her wicked-witch style tights! Naturally, she decided to use that outfit for her Halloween costume, replacing her high heels for a pair of red Converse sneakers.  She wanted  her ruby slippers to be comfortable - much better for trick or treating!
I found the papers from Moxxie's All Hallow's Eve were perfect for this:
I worked a little magic of my own on this layout! I knew I wanted the title to be big
I pulled these foam Heidi Swapp letters out of my stash and loved the proportions, but the turquoise and fuschia really were not working... I traced each of the letters onto different papers from the All Hallow's Eve collection, cut them out, added some glue and - Presto Chango!  We have a perfectly coordinated title!
I also decided my daughter deserved an award for her darling outfit, so I created a prize ribbon for the "Best Costume" using elements from the All Hallow's Eve Diecuts and the Haunted Mansion paper - I love those creepy little silhouettes!!  I used a stamp from my stash to create the verbage.

Do you want to win this entire collection?
Here is what you need to do!  It is very simple and very easy!

Leave a comment on each and every blog in the hop- Be sure to leave a comment on the Moxxie Blog as well.  That is it! International customers are welcome to play along if they agree to pay shipping in the event of their win. We'll announce the winner Wednesday on the Moxxie blog. Thanks so much for hopping with us!
