Western Round Up with my Lil Cowgirl!

Yeehaw!  My Sweet Lil Cowgirl was ready for a Western Round Up with her daddy! The theme of the annual Father-Daughter dance was a hoedown and they really had fun getting all gussied up in hats and boots!

I used one of my all time favorite collections from Moxxie: Western Round Up.  It is perfect for any layout with a western or country theme.  I created this little embellishment cluster with a little fussy cutting of the boots and the hat, then layered on the swirls!

I added another Want2Scrap brown rhinestone Swirls Finesse peeking out from behind this photo.
That little bit of bling is the perfect accent for the title area - really draws the eye IRL!

2013 Christmas Card Photo Shoot

It snowed in Northern Virginia just in time for our annual Christmas Card Photo Shoot!  Brian had just gotten home from work, Paul was out of bed and MC was ready with the Santa hats - even Sulu got into the act!

I used Bazzill's Nordic Pines collection and layered on lots of wintery shine with *bling* from Want2Scrap!  Here are some detail shots:

Want2Scrap Printer's Tray Album Perfect for Christmas!

Today I am excited to share an album I created using Echo Park Reflections Christmas and Candy Rosenberg's Printer's Tray Album from Want2Scrap
As you can see, all those little windows are just chock full of  fabulous Want2Scrap embellishments! If you would like to see details, head on over to the Want2Scrap blog!  I am sharing the inside pages of the album below.

I used the Holiday Ornaments paper from Echo Park for the background of the first set of pages, added  poinsettia stickers from the Element Stickers sheet, and Polaroid-style frames from Jillibean Soup. The final detail was a rhinestone snowflake from the Let It Snow - Christmas bling from Want2Scrap.
I used the Border Strips paper and the coordinating solid color papers to finish the bottom of this page.

The banner on the next page was assembled by snipping out the banners printed on (2) of the Reflections Christmas journal cards.  I also added another rhinestone snowflake at the top right of the banner.
For the page above, I adhered the Peace Joy Love paper to the chipboard page without cutting apart the 4"x6" cards.  The (3) mats are 3" square and ready to hold 2.75" square photos.  I added tiny red and silver rhinestones to various details on the page.

I *love* the North Pole paper in this collection!  I used it to span both of the pages below, so that the map is continuous starting at the bottom and running halfway up the top page.  The map portion on the top page is actually a pocket and holds (3) mats in coordinating colors for pictures. I dressed up one of the element stickers by adhering it on top of red ribbon and dotting it with tiny red rhinestones!  "December" is a Fancy Chipboard Word from Want2Scrap that was painted with red acrylic.
Yes!  You do see another rhinestone snowflake on the bottom page.  I love them!  It may be hard to tell, but there is also a tiny turquoise rhinestone right in the center of the snowflake marking the North Pole!

These last 2 pages came together so quickly by using a combination of the Border Strips paper and the Elements Stickers.  I also added tiny rhinestones from Want2Scrap on these pages to accent the stickers from the collection.

Here are some detail from inside the album when I just had to "bring on the bling" from Want2Scrap!

I really enjoyed working with this album.  The front cover was just plain fun to play with and the page size is so large that I had plenty of room for pictures, embellishments, and journaling! I am already trying to decide what to make with my next Printer's Tray Album!!

I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

Las Vegas Wedding with Paper House Productions

My beautiful niece was married in Las Vegas and I used some of my favorite photos  and the Las Vegas Collection from Paper House to create this simple collage-style layout.
I intend for it to be included in her wedding scrapbook, but I also think it would look great framed and hanging on the wall!  I often use my favorite layouts to decorate my home, rotating them with the season...or until I create a *new* favorite layout...and that happens pretty frequently!  (It seems my newest layouts are always my favorites!)

Here are some detail shots for you:
I used a craft knife to carefully create a slit in the paper under the title in the upper left.

Lucky Seven showing on the 3D dice stickers - a wish for good luck to the newlyweds!

The cardstock Wedding Chapel sticker was popped up on foam dots.

The 3D sticker of the iconic Las Vegas sign looks perfect nestled amongst the images of the Las Vegas Strip on the background paper.

In addition to using my layouts for home decor, I often use my scrapbooking to create meaningful gifts for the people I love.  I hope I managed to capture at least some of the special moments from the wedding in this piece.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

Winery Layout with Paper House

My friends attended a wine tasting at a winery just around the corner from my house and Paper House had exactly the right products to create a layout of the event!
The winery had a lot of "atmosphere" and I had  fun snapping a bunch of pictures...wine bottles, awards, flowers.  I made sure to take a picture of the sign at the front of the winery - it conveniently advertised the wine tasting!  Including those little details on the layout helps to capture the atmosphere of the event.

I tore and inked all 4 sides of the Wine Country Map paper and adhered it to a piece of brown cardstock.  I turned down the top right corner, inked the back of the paper and placed the wine bottle 3D sticker beneath the paper.  Then I created the collage with various size pictures and added more of the 3D Wine stickers.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

Magical Moments at Disney with Minnie Mouse and Moxxie

No trip to Disney World is complete until you have met "the Mouse".  In our case, under direct orders from my young daughter, we needed to meet Minnie Mouse!  Moxxie's Magical Moments collection made it easy to scrap the grand occasion!

I have to say the boys really were good sports and even posed for a picture.  A picture I love because my daughter is doing a little curtsy!

I mixed several of the patterned papers on the layout. I used black cardstock to lift the layers - and the photos -  off of the background.  I created a pocket to hold the bright yellow tag for journaling and used one of the cardstock stickers as an accent.  The final touch was the black rhinestone flourish from Want2Scrap!

A Moment in Time with Fancy Pants

Today I am sharing a layout that captures a moment in time with my Forever Friend, my sister Teresa!  My mom's handwritten note on the back of the color photo tells me that my father had gone into the store behind us for something and a man snapped this picture of us.  I am the tall one!  We look like complete street urchins, don't you think?!
I incorporated products from Susan K. Weckesser, Want2Scrap, and Fancy Pants Designs.  You can find all the details over on the Susan K. Weckesser blog today.

Scouting with Paper House

I was very excited to work with the new Scouting Collection from Paper House Productions.  The new collection is licensed by the Boy Scouts of America so they have all the real logos and symbols.  I have (2) boys who enjoyed a wide variety of adventures during their years in scouts...and now I have scrapbook pages to prove it!

For this first layout, I combined the Adventure paper with the 3D Fishing stickers.  This was my sons' first campout as boy scouts.  They fit in a lot of activities, including a bit of fishing.
For this second layout, I used the Scouting Around paper and paired it with the Rougin' It 3D stickers and the BSA-Camping Adventure Cardstock stickers.  The pictures are from the same campout...I just found a different way to work with them.  Instead of copying the exact same layout for each of my boys, I switched it up a bit.

And no Cub Scouting family album is complete without a layout about the Pinewood Derby!  I used the Cub Scouts paper and added the Lil' Scouts 3D Stickers.

To create this layout, I cut the paper in half and taped the bottom half of the paper on the top, then I used a craft knife to cut out the Cub Scout logo...then I matted it and replaced it, covering the opening I had just cut.

I really love working with Paper House papers and stickers - they make scrapbooking fast and easy!

Thanks for stopping by - and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie
