Wedding Day Part 2 with Want2Scrap

As I promised yesterday, here is another lovely wedding layout that started out using a laser cut overlay from Want2Scrap as a base.  The overlay comes with white matting that sizes each opening perfectly for your favorite 4"x6" photos.
I think the Frilly Flourish Swirls looks like a trail left behind by those elegant butterflies!  These die cuts are from Kaisercraft (Elegance Collectables), but the overlays from Want2Scrap can be embellished to coordinate with any wedding theme!  Let your imagination go wild!

I love working with overlays from Want2Scrap!  You can tell from the variety I was able to share this week that you can make them as simple or as detailed as you desire!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

Our Wedding Day with Want2Scrap

Framed scrapbook layouts are one of my favorite wedding gifts to give.  Today I am sharing another layout using an overlay from Want2Scrap - this one has a Wedding theme!

So you can see the difference a little bling and some die cuts make, here is the overlay without any embellishment.
The laser cut title is so crisp!  This overlay is simple and elegant and ready to be personalized for any wedding!

I hope you come back tomorrow -
I have another wedding themed page using a different overlay from Want2Scrap!

Scrapbook Your Dog with Want2Scrap Overlays!

Our fur babies have such a big place in our hearts we need to remember to include them in our scrapbooks, too!  Roxie, our first family dog, was such a sweetheart and was always hanging out with her boy, Brian!
Another layout pulled together very quickly thanks to Want2Scrap overlays!  I like to fill each little opening with several elements - photos, journaling...and don't forget the bling!

I think the bone-shaped laser cut opening was the perfect place to add Roxie's name...
...and of course more bling to accent this photo of them waiting for Daddy at the front window! We lost Roxie more than 10 years ago but we still miss her and laugh over the memories she left behind.

Tomorrow I will share a layout I created as a gift - and I started with an overlay from Want2Scrap!

Scrabble Time Layout!

My family loves board games...especially Scrabble...so of course I had to document it when my 7 year old got his first bingo ever with the word "anaconda"!
This layout is so simple because it started with an overlay from Want2Scrap.  You can find all the details on the "how to" over at the Want2Scrap blog.

Tomorrow I will feature an overlay that will help you scrap your family pet!

Wedding Gown Dress Up with Want2Scrap Overlay

I love these photos of my daughter playing dress up in my mother's wedding gown and wanted to create a special layout with them.  This elegant overlay from Want2Scrap provided the perfect starting point!

I used a vintage paper doily, Spellbinders die cuts, and bling from Want2Scrap to create a feminine backdrop.  The edges of the photos were distressed and inked.
The floral die cuts were hilighted with Champagne Ice Metallic Lustre.  Swirls Finesse pearls have such a beautiful shape - so elegant in the white pearl finish!
The detail of the laser cut dress form is amazing.  I just added a row of pearls and a sheer bow.
The built in title block just needed a few die cuts to finish it off!

Just a note:
I will be featuring more layouts created with Overlays from Want2Scrap all week!
They are so easy to work with - I love them!
Hope to see you tomorrow!

Share your Heart with Susan K. Weckesser!

Valentine's Day may be over but it is never too late to share your heart!
I especially like the idea of letting my friends know how much they mean to me and this simple card is so easy to make!
The pretty green background of the card is from one side of Susan's Live in Color scrapbook paper.

The reverse side has huge colorful blooms on it and I decided to create the heart from one of those flowers!  I used a metal die to cut the funky heart shape.  I liked being able to slide it around the paper until I was happy with the image it framed!

Next I pulled out Grandma's Needlepoint stamp set and water colored an image of my favorite little girl.

A little fussy cutting and she was ready to be added in front of the heart with foam pop dots.
You can see I also stamped some stitching details on the heart.  I used alpha stamps from my stash to finish the lettering on the card and I know exactly who I am going to send it to now that it is done!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today! Susie
