Beach Pocket Page with Paper House Nautical Collection

Do you have a last minute trip to the shore that you need to scrapbook?  Or have you been so busy enjoying your summer that you haven’t had time to even look at the pictures?  You are in luck because Paper House has a brand new collection that is packed with ocean themed papers and embellishments!

The Nautical Collection  was perfect to scrap my late summer escape:

The Nautical Paper Crafting Kit includes a sheet of the cut apart tags that are so popular in scrapbooking these days - especially for pocket pages!  The graphics and sentiments are wonderful!  I slipped some of those tags  "as is" into pockets in both pages, then I started to play with the other openings:

The collection comes with a 12x12 cardstock sticker sheet that includes multiple border stickers, 2 different style alphabets and tons of die cut shaped images!  I dressed up this photograph by creating a title using both alpha style stickers.  The collection also includes a set of Puffy Stickers in white and silver with a nice selection of words for any beachcomber!

I added one of the cardstock stickers from the collection to the light house tag and scribbled on the date:

Those die cut stickers work just as well on photos!  And I found the perfect place for a second Puffy Sticker!

I used another paper in the collection to create a 4x6 card and decorated it with a photo, die cut, labels and the "All Hands on Deck" sticker:

Stickers are simple and quick embellishments to add to photos and this sentiment really fits with the Nautical theme:

I chose a different style page for the 2nd half of this layout.  There are 2 pockets across the top that are 6x6 so I created some mini-scrapbook pages!
I fussy cut one of the papers from the collection to get this "Seas the Day" sentiment centered at the top, before adding a mini-collage of photos.
A couple of the papers in the collection have this cool segmented border.  I fussy cut one of the pages to create a border around this mini-page:
I loved the banner on the sticker sheet and used it as a unifying element across the top of these 2 pockets:

Cross Country with Moxxie and Want2Scrap

A friend of mine was drafted to coach cross country at her sons' elementary school.  Not only was the season a lot of fun, it was pretty successful, too!  I used the Cross Country Collection from Moxxie and the *new* Enamel Dots from Want2Scrap.  Have a peek:

I used a string of the Yellow Enamel Dots across the top to balance the color on the layout:

Most of the embellishments are from the Cross Country Cardstock Stickers.  Strategic placement of more enamel dots add a punch to the layout!

Be sure to check out all the fabulous new Enamel Dots from Want2Scrap:

Road Trip!

I had many wonderful adventures this summer, not the least of which was this road trip in Washington State!  Scrapping it could not have been easier thanks to one of the new 6" overlays from Want2Scrap!

The overlay actually came with white backing.  I replaced it with a 6.25" square of kraft cardstock so that it coordinated better with the background paper.  One of my favorite thing about using an overlay is that it provides a title for my layout:

I adhered three sides of the overlay to the page, creating a pocket to hold a couple of tags.  Plenty of room for journaling and extra pictures!  The pictures along the left side of the layout are matted on black cardstock so they match the overlay.

CAS Cards 2 with Paper House

Back in June each member of the Paper House Design Team shared some wonderful card ideas.  I went a little crazy and designed several all occasion cards featuring the SnapShots embellishments.  They were Clean And Simple (CAS) and super fast to make!  It made me wonder what cards I could create using some of the beautiful 3D stickers from Paper House.  Here’s what I came up with using stickers, stencils, inks and stamps from my stash!

School Days Field Trip with Paper House

This weekend I am participating in a School Days Blog Hop with Paper House Productions!  They challenged the Design Team to come up with our best school- or kids-themed projects using Paper House products.  To celebrate the hop, Paper House is giving away a $50 Gift Card! Look for the details at the end of this post.

I decided to do a layout about one of my daughter's many school field trips.  Living in Virginia we have access to some wonderful Civil War sites.  Fortunately for me, Paper House has a Civil War Collection with great background papers and cardstock stickers!

On this particular day, her 4th grade class had a fun and educational trip to Harpers Ferry in West Virginia.

At one point in the program, the kids were given the identity of a real Union soldier...

...they donned a uniform hat and made the "Oath of Muster"...

...before learning to drill with wooden guns cut outof pine!
