Coffee with Want2Scrap!

Today I am sharing a coffee themed layout featuring bling from Want2Scrap!  My daughter received a really cute owl coffee mug as a gift from one of her best girlfriends and just I had to snap some pictures!  Grid style layouts are really popular right now and I had a lot of fun putting this one together.  It is like a pocket page without the pockets - every section is an opportunity to play!

I fell in love with the Coffee Addict Collection from Moxxie and started the layout with the coffee stained Java paper as the background.  After creating a grid with 1/8" strips of brown, I cut 3"x3" squares from the Perfect Blend paper and placed them with either the coffee beans or the words facing up.  I fussy cut the little coffee cup from the Coffee Cutout paper and added this little bit of bling from Swirls Finesse to really brighten up the first square!
This sentiment  was also trimmed out of the Coffee Cutouts paper, inked and adhered with dimensional foam tape.  I add a little bit of Want2Scrap bling using 72 Count Dark Green Rhinestones.  I love wood and chipboard shapes so I sprinkled them around the layout, adding a small arrow here.

The centerpiece of the layout - and the part I love the best - is this lovely, shiney burst of steam created with Brown Rhinestone Swirls Finesse!

Just a touch here and there using more of the Dark Green 72 Count rhinestones...and a potty person!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

Authentique Cuddle Card with Want2Scrap

I really love fancy fold cards and the tri-shutter is probably my all time favorite style! I enjoy decorating all the different surfaces!  Remember the mini-album I shared in my last post?  This is the card I created for the new mommy!

I used the Cuddle Girl Collection from Authentique Papers.  The front of the card features an element I trimmed out of one of the pages and decorated with a single white pearl from Want2Scrap.  See it in the upper right?  A perfect center for that sweet flower!  I love the 72 Count White Pearl package because it comes with an assortment of sizes: 8mm, 6mm, and 3mm.

I decorated the back panel of the card with Swirls Finesse in White Pearls.

Cuddle Girl Album with Want2Scrap

My niece recently had a beautiful, brand new baby girl!  As a gift, I created an 8"x8" album using the Cuddle Girl Collection from Authentique.  Realizing that she is an exhausted new mommy, I made it super simple by putting a blank photo mat on each page.  All she has to do is print out a 4"x6"  and adhere it in place.  And then I made it super special by adding little bits of Want2Scrap bling to each page!  Have a look!

I tucked a piece of Swirls Finesse behind the tag on this page:

I used a tiny 3mm Light Blue Pearl in the center of flowers on this page:

12" Sleek Strip Pearls in Light Pink embellish the tag on this page:

Another Light Pink Pearl adorns the upper right corner of the card on this page:

More Light Pink Pearls provide a sweet detail on the little cameo tag on this page:

More of the 12" Sleek Strip Pearls jazz up the tab on this page:

Here are some pics of the rest of the album:

St. Patrick's Day Mini Album

Today I am sharing a mini-album full of pictures from our St. Patrick's Day celebration!

I started with a 6x6 chipboard album and the Charmed Collection from Authentique Papers.

St. Patrick's Day celebrations are always special with our clan because we are celebrating my niece's birthday!  She was all decked out in green - clothes, jewelery and tattoos - so she was absolutely pinch proof!

The Charmed Collection has all kinds of super cute embellishments that are perfect for a mini-album! I dressed up the shamrocks on this card with 3mm gems from the 72 Count Light Green Self Adhesive Rhinestones.  The pack contains 3 different sizes: 8mm, 6mm and 3mm.

I used the 72 Count Dark Green 3mm Rhinestones to accent this tab...

I used 72 Count Orange Rhinestones to add dimension to this little pot o' gold!

Love this picture of my daughter and I - she is my lucky charm!

There was much merry making, shenanigans and malarky!

And my husband is the gold at the end of my rainbow!

I love the 6x6 album size because I can cover 4 pages with one sheet of 12" scrapbook paper!  The Charmed Collection was fun to play with and provided me with all kinds of opportunities to layer on the bling!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

Mix It Up with Quick Quotes

Today I am going to share a layout I created for a design team assignment from Quick Quotes.  They specifically asked us to "mix it up" or play around and come up with a project that uses more than one of their collections.  I chose elements from 2 different Collections:  Farmhouse and Anchors Aweigh and I just love the way this layout turned out!

I started the layout by using the Anchors Aweigh 105 chevron print paper for the background. For the title area, I die cut the navy blue Anchors Away 107 to create the "Sunday" tab.  I used Sunset PowderPuff Chalking Ink and clear embossing powder to alter some chipboard letters from my stash to finish it off.  I love how easy it is to create coordinating embellishments using the Chalking Inks from Quick Quotes!

Next I added in a couple of pieces from the Farmhouse collection, including the beautiful floral print on Farmhouse 100. You can see in the picture above how I used a craft knife to fussy cut the flower so I could slip my photo underneath.

I also die cut a decorative frame from Farmhouse 102.  I cut the frame apart and just used a couple of corner pieces to add a delicate accent.  I arranged my photo collage and sprinkled in a couple of die cut stickers.

I also added a piece of rhinestone bling to those corner pieces!

The colors of these 2 collections work so well together!  I hope you will try "mixing it up" yourself!
