Home Dec with Eileen Hull's Stitchy Flowers & Leaf

Hello and welcome!  Today I am sharing a canvas I created for Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team.

I was out shopping one day and noticed some beautiful inspiration canvases in the home dec section of Target.  I realized I could very easily duplicate the look myself and raced home to pull out my dies from Eileen's new Heartfelt Collection from Sizzix. I used her fabulous new Stitchy Flowers and Leaf Thinlits Die Set from Sizzix and it couldn't have been easier!

The die set has 13 different pieces.  I basically cut out at least 2 of each of the flowers from 3 different patterned papers and white cardstock - and yes I was able to stack them and cut through 2 layers at one time - so it just took a few passes through my Big Shot to create a ton of flowery goodness!

I used a push pin and a cork trivet to help me easily pierce and layer the die cuts, finishing them off with cute little flower brads from my stash!

I used Therm O Web Zots Singles to attach everything to the canvas.  The word "beauty" is a piece of foiled acetate from the Golden Days Ephemera Pack.  It was really easy to hide the Small Zots behind the foiled script. The rest of the sentiment is alpha stickers .

I used Eileen's Bay ColorBox Blend to create a spray by mixing some of the ink with water.

I masked off the center of the canvas then I spritzed and flicked away!

The canvas dried in just a few minutes and I was able to start arranging my flowers.  I decided to add a little more dimension and adhered some of the flowers with the 3D Zots.

Just a couple of close ups for you:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie
