I wanted to create a photo collage including some of my favorite Christmas ornaments. Almost every single one of my ornaments has a story or a memory associated with it and I have shared several of those stories with my children over the years. Of course I realized that scrapbooking is the best way to make sure those stories are remembered!
The Canon Pixma printer comes with an easy to use software package that includes several templates. I went into the Photo Layout section and selected the Bordered (x4) template. I chose a portrait orientation for my pictures, a 5"x7" size and then I started to play! I added my first photo and typed in the name of the town where I bought that cute little angel ornament!
I was able to specify which font I wanted to use, change the size of the text and even turn it so that the text ran up the side of the photo instead of across the bottom! I was also able to easily crop and "zoom in" on my photo so that the angel practically filled my frame!
I worked my way through each of the 4 photos I placed in this particular template. In the final photo (see below) I actually added 2 text boxes so that I could have 2 different font sizes!
My Image Garden software makes it really easy to edit and embellish your photos. Once I was happy with everything, I loaded 5"x7" photo paper into the rear tray and sent the collage to print on my Pixma TS6020 printer.
I think the photo collage looks perfect on the page!
I embellished with some laser cut chipboard ornaments from Want2Scrap...
...added a title with alphabet stickers...
...and included this chipboard deer in the bottom right because he is a reference to one of my ornament stories!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today! Susie
