Expo International Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the May Designer Crafts Connection Blog Hop!

This month we are partnering with Expo International and I received this colorful, 100% polyester Daisy Flower Trim to play with for my project.

I decided to go back to my scrapbooking roots because one of my favorite ways to add texture and dimension to a layout is to use ribbons and trims!  I started with a basic black cardstock overlay because I knew the bright colors in this trim would just pop off the page!

I cut down the overlay to 11.5" square and backed it with Color Washed paper that accented the trim.  The overlay comes with a built in laser cut title area and that is where started to play!  The daisies cut apart easily and are very light weight.  They add a lot of interest to the page without adding a lot of bulk.

I used clear adhesive dots on the back of a few flowers to adhere the daisy chain to the page.

I sprinkled some photo frames around the page and embellished them with Daisy Flower clusters, enamel dots and a camera brad!  So simple but lots of "wow!" factor!  The layout is done and ready for photographs!

Expo International has a large inventory of trims in a wide variety of styles.  To get a taste of what else is available and to see more ways to use these fabulous trims, check out the other stops in this month's hop:
