Etched Stone Dragon Agate Slice Pendant with Etchall®

I am very excited!  I tried something new for my Etchall® DT project this month and it worked!  In addition to glass, mirrors and items with ceramic glazes I knew Etchall® etching crème would work on slate and marble.  It made me wonder if it would work on another natural stone: sliced agate.
Time to play...

I found this sliced agate pendant at Tuesday Morning.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a design from Etchall® etchmask vinyl...

...and applied it to the pendant, firmly pressing it in place with the pads of my fingers.

I used a small piece of tape to protect the top of the pendant before I applied the etching crème.

After 15 minutes I scooped the etching crème back into the original bottle - because it is reuseable!

Next I thoroughly washed off any remaining residue before I removed the vinyl stencil and tape.

Note: Do not rinse in a porcelain sink as this is an etching product and it will remove the glaze!

And voila!   Just look at the amazing detail!  Now I need to turn this dragon pendant into a necklace and box it up just in time for Christmas!

Etchall® makes it so easy to create unique and personal gifts! Pair your electronic die cutter with etchmask vinyl and you are limited only by your imagination.  This was so easy I may have another pendant to share very soon!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie
